Can I use leftover steak?
Yes. Fry the onion and pepper first, then add the cooked steak with the rice and fry until it’s all steaming hot. The steak doesn’t dry out that way.
You'll need
- Pan (for the rice)

Onion as small as possible.
-
Cook the rice
- In a pan, fry ½ cup of rice for a minute, and later add hot water.
- Let it boil until it is cooked, 10–15 minutes depending on the rice.
- I usually like to cook rice on very low temperature so that it cooks throughout evenly.
- You need
- ½ cup rice
- olive oil
- 1 cup water
-
Fry the steak and vegetables
- In another pan, fry the onions, peppers and the beef.
- Stir very often.
- Don’t forget to add salt and pepper.
- You need
- ¼ onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 200 g steak
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
-
Add the rice
- When meat is cooked to your desire, add the cooked rice and mix.
- In about 5 minutes, the rice should start sticking to the pan.
-
Let it get crunchy
- I usually like the rice to be crunchy, so I let it stick to the pan for about 3–4 minutes.
- Take it off the heat and enjoy.
