About the cook
My cooking is fabulous. Even the smoke alarm is cheering me on.
I'm Xhulio. I cook it, I film it, and I write it down so you can make it too.
I do the research, so you don't have to ;)
Me, about to eat the research.

How I got here
I started cooking at 15. Risotto was one of the first recipes I learned. Is it easy? No!!!
When I was a kid, I went to my local bakery every single day and bought an eclair. I still love eating them. Making them is another story, because it requires lots of effort.
When I want to make something new, I start with the most popular recipes out there and try them until one works. Sometimes that takes a few tries. Then I write down the one that worked.
What I post here are easy recipes and instructions from all my personal experience. I remove the unnecessary parts and explain every single technique in detail, so that even a beginner can make it.
How I write a recipe
things I promise
-
I cook it first
Every recipe here is one I have made in my own kitchen.
-
I tell you when it's hard
Some recipes are a tough process and take a few hours of your life. I say so before you start, not after.
-
Albanian names come first
If a dish has an Albanian name, that is its name here. The English sits next to it, with how to say it.
-
The jump button stays
Every recipe has a Jump to the recipe button at the top. Read my story or skip it. I will only be a little hurt.
You asked. So that's four.

Cooking, and the research behind it
Most recipes here have a video: the whole thing, start to finish. Lately I also go after the story of a dish, like how French fries became French.
Got a question, or an idea?
Stuck on a recipe, or want to cook something up together. Either way, it lands in my kitchen.
